Yes swelling on the lips is normally this normally goes away after 24 - 48 hours.

5 - 7 days you must keep them dry and apply the cream often.
Day 1 -2 they will feel dry and tender. Dabbing the area with a cotton pad, before applying the aftercare cream is best!
Day 3 - 4 they will flake slightly and feel dry, it is important not to pick the skin and apply the aftercare cream every 1 - 2 hours.
Day 5 the lips will start to feel normal again.
Then you can go through a ghosting phase. - This is when the pigment feels quite light after the flaking period. This is normal, after 1 cell turnover (21 - 28 days) the new tattoo pigment will reappear.

It feels slightly sensitive, however we use a pre numbing agent, and a secondary numbing cream which helps all of our clients get through their treatment comfortably.

Often we don’t see our clients (after their initial and their 6 weeks touch up) for another 18 - 24 months.
Sometimes if people love their colour being fresh they do a 12 monthly colour boost. However 18 - 24 months is fine for most skin types.
